Meridian Courthouse|Recommended: YesToo many fratty guys being drunk and loud but other than that had a good experience
Very nice, and reasonable priced|Recommended: YesNice amenities and great location.
A bit overprices, but generally a good place to live|Recommended: YesThe rent is a bit steep for the quality of the apartment especially the parking costs . We have lived in one of the non-upgraded apartments 2 bedrooms sunroom for the past 2 years and there are certain areas in the kitchen and the living room that appear to have been very shoddily constructed as if someone did not finish constructing them . An example of this are two holes underneath the bar which extends into the living room. Some of the appliances are quite old and in some state of disrepair i.e. the fridge . However, we have never had issues with bugs and maintenance requests are always promptly handled. The apartment was spacious enough for our needs and we never had serious noise complaints. The leasing office staff have been quite rude and unhelpful at times, especially when tried to put a subletter on the lease. We were also very disappointed with the lack of hot water to shower with in the winter - for as much as we pay in rent, we expect to be able to take more than a 10-minute hot shower if needed and we do not expect to have to turn off our heat just to try to get some more hot water in the shower . Overall, our experience here has been mostly satisfactory and we have recommended the property to friends.
Thank you for your review, we sincerely appreciate your feedback. We strive on offering the best customer service possible and want to sincerely apologize if we failed to do so at anytime. Our property manager will be reaching out to you to discuss your experience with the leasing office and your other concerns. Sincerely, Taryn S.
Updates need to be a true luxury building|Recommended: YesOverall, it's a nice place to live. It's convenient to the metro and more lively areas Clarendon, Georgetown , but removed enough to make you feel out of the city. The neighborhood itself is OK - a mix of new and old. Appliances such as the dishwasher, laundry, oven, bathroom sink, shower etc. need to be updated to be considered a truly luxury apartment building. Many of the appliances are very old and inefficient. I also find it troubling that there is SO MUCH dirt and gunk in the pipes under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. There is also a fair amount of dirt that comes out of the shower heads. Good living - but not true luxury. On another note, I've have had some encounters with VERY rude people in the leasing office. Considering the issues with the intruder a few years back and the thieving concierge person this year, I would suggest a better control over your personnel.
Thank you for your review Sumeet. We have been making some big changes to our apartments including appliances and interior features. We would encourage you to visit the leasing office to find out a little bit more about the renovated apartment homes we have available. We strive to offer the highest level of customer service and sincerely apologize if we have failed to provide that. Our property manager is interested to hear more about your experiences so that we can make the necessary improvements. Please reach out to her at 703-522-8700. Sincerely, Taryn S.
Great amenities, high quality on outside, poor quality inside apartments.|Recommended: YesGreat location, great culture, great extras , low quality apartments.
It is a great location with nice amenities and apartment layouts|Recommended: YesI recently moved to the Meridian in early April, and I have been very happy with my decision so far. The people from the leasing office are very helpful and informative. I moved into a refinished apartment and all the appliances and layout are top notch. Parking is relatively easy and the building is well kept even though they are refinishing many apartments. Only complaint I do have is that I wish they installed door stoppers, the door slamming can be somewhat annoying but is usually only on weekends, other than that, thumbs up. I will review my experience in 6 months from now, and hopefully my view is unchanged.
Mediocre apartment and horrible service for the price.|Recommended: NoMy apartment itself is a 4 out of 10. The appliances are dated and the layout is strange. The parking garage has too small of spaces. If you park slightly over the line, your car will be towed and they don t notify you. The staff at the front desk is unprofessional and does not respect the residents. The concierge service at the front desk is inconsistent as many times there is no one present. On Independence Day, they close the club room not allowing residents to view the fireworks. They do not allow any food or beverages on the rooftop as well and enforce this with police. The staff was very rude about this and they treat residents as if they were irresponsible children. The apartment thermostat is tied to the hot water. You cannot have both a warm apartment and hot water. They force you to choose. They are not clear about and upfront about this when leasing you the apartment. Overall, I would not recommend this property to anyone.
We are so sorry to hear that you have had such a negative experience while living in our community. Our property manager will reach out to you to see what improvements we can make. Conveinient, clean but small|Recommended: YesSo far, living at the meridian has been a great experience. Its location cannot be beat, but as far as parking, there has been way too many times I've had to look all around in the garage for a spot that isn't taken up by a car that's way over the line into an open spot.
Overall really great, some things could be improved|Recommended: YesIt's a really great place to live in general. The appliances- such as the extremely old washing machine and dryer and the lack of ice maker- aren't great but over all the building is pretty nice. I wish the gym were bigger since its always so crowded and that the hall ways didn't smell like everyone's food but in general, I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
Great location; nice facilities; love the farmers market on the weekends!|Recommended: YesIt's a nice building in a good location. The Courthouse area continues to grow, and the restaurants from the Clarendon area are slowly coming into our part of the neighborhood. Metro (orange like) is really close, which is great. Could use some closer grocery stores, especially if you don't have a car. Farmers market up the street on Saturdays is wonderful! Movie theater is really nice - assigned seats and reclining chairs. If you're planning to have guests with cars for the weekend, make sure to get the parking pass early as they sell out quickly.
The leasing office staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Great location. |Recommended: YesIt is a comfortable place to live, and the leasing staff is very helpful. The maintenance staff is quick to get things fixed, and they are very polite. There is one lady on the security desk staff who is incredibly unhelpful and rude, to the point where my husband and I avoid going to the desk on the nights that she is working. The hallways and elevators usually have a bad smell of a combination of different foods and pizza. People leave their trash items next to the trash instead of dropping them in the trash chute, usually because these items are too large to throw down the chute (pizza boxes, etc.) which cause the trash rooms to be even more filthy than they need to be. There is construction across the street and you can hear clearly the noise from 5am-6pm from my apartment.
Quick and great service.|Recommended: YesLiving at the Meridian is pretty good. Neighbors could be a bit quieter but the staff is pretty darn good.
Great service, great location|Recommended: YesI enjoy it.
Clean, Affordable relative to the area, friendly staff, good for young professionals|Recommended: YesI would tell them that for a young professional, the Meridian is a great place to live. It is relatively affordable (though utility prices need to be taken into account), the staff is very friendly, the building is clean and the location is great. The only drawbacks are the rather small sizes of the rooms and the thin walls, which makes it very easy to hear other roommates and neighbors in different rooms. Overall though, it has been a great experience so far!
