Good Price for Quality and Location|Recommended: YesParking I can't justify paying for monthly parking in the garage, fortunately there's enough street parking to chose from. Noise The only time I hear my neighbors is walking through the hallway, it seems that the walls are fairly thick preventing noise to travel through. Grounds Well maintained. Construction I think most of the construction on my floor, or at least hallway, is complete so it doesn't affect me much. Maintenance They're friendly and attentive, although seem to point the finger when they cannot explain a problem or shift responsibility to someone else not sure if this is just the weekend maintenance crew or what . Staff Concierge's are very friendly and helpful The Leasing Office personal always seem too busy to help or multi-tasking a lot of jobs at once. They aren't always as well versed or knowledgeable about the property though... Overall Am happy for the amount I'm paying and would recommend to friends. Am new to the area so not entirely sure how The Meridian compares to its competition.

Elegant and affordable|Recommended: YesThe Meridian at Courthouse Commons is a great apartment building. It's very affordable, elegant, and the management knows how to take care of its residents. There are a ton of young professionals that live in the building which I can personally appreciate. They also have great facilities including a basketball and racquetball court. If you are looking for somewhere to move in, I'd definitely recommend them.

Almost a year here.|Recommended: YesWe are coming up to 10 months of living in this community. While no community is perfect, this one seems to have less faults. Overall we were happy here. The concierge desk staff was always warm to greet us and helpful. The maintenance crew was average with timeliness and completeness. Neighbors were mostly quiet, we had several instances where arguing, etc. could be heard through the walls. Property was well maintained however you would occasionally see a beer can or bottle laying around or in the elevator. I feel many of the residents here are young professionals who aren't finishing living up their crazy college years. Overall though mostly respectful.
Ignorant Staff- Prioritize services related to Commission|Recommended: YesAlthough this is a great place and there are some staff who provide excellent customer service, there are some who needs training in customer service in order to provide fair service to all. Some staff are ignorant and are more interested to provide service to those who are looking to rent since that is where they get a commission.. I went down for a simple service and the staff were busy which is understandable and I waited patiently for more than 30 mins. As I waited, other new residents came in for assistance after me and they were provided services before me. it was like i was invisible there. Service should be provided to all fairly.

Overall Great Spot - Very Few Caveats|Recommended: YesIf you have loud neighbors you'll be able to hear them - thin walls. The leasing office is VERY hit or miss when you call them for help. They either are so nice and helpful or really rude and nonresponsive. The maintenance staff is INCREDIBLE, they do everything exactly how you ask and in a very short amount of time. The grounds apt itself is great. Good amenities, good location.
Overall a good place to live|Recommended: YesGreat place to live if you're a young professional in DC or Arlington. Safe neighborhood, maintenance is timely, and is a nice apartment. I have a 1 bedroom den apartment that I share with one other person, and the size of the den is decent. It's a good price for the area that it's in -- close to a lot of bars, grocery stores, food places, etc. It's not the quietest place, but it's not unreasonably loud. The staff is professional. If you get a package, sometimes they will deliver it right to your door. Amenities are small for the amount of people that live pool, gym, etc. . Stove and dishwasher are older models and not great.

A bit overprices, but generally a good place to live|Recommended: YesThe rent is a bit steep for the quality of the apartment especially the parking costs . We have lived in one of the non-upgraded apartments 2 bedrooms sunroom for the past 2 years and there are certain areas in the kitchen and the living room that appear to have been very shoddily constructed as if someone did not finish constructing them . An example of this are two holes underneath the bar which extends into the living room. Some of the appliances are quite old and in some state of disrepair i.e. the fridge . However, we have never had issues with bugs and maintenance requests are always promptly handled. The apartment was spacious enough for our needs and we never had serious noise complaints. The leasing office staff have been quite rude and unhelpful at times, especially when tried to put a subletter on the lease. We were also very disappointed with the lack of hot water to shower with in the winter - for as much as we pay in rent, we expect to be able to take more than a 10-minute hot shower if needed and we do not expect to have to turn off our heat just to try to get some more hot water in the shower . Overall, our experience here has been mostly satisfactory and we have recommended the property to friends.

Updates need to be a true luxury building|Recommended: YesOverall, it's a nice place to live. It's convenient to the metro and more lively areas Clarendon, Georgetown , but removed enough to make you feel out of the city. The neighborhood itself is OK - a mix of new and old. Appliances such as the dishwasher, laundry, oven, bathroom sink, shower etc. need to be updated to be considered a truly luxury apartment building. Many of the appliances are very old and inefficient. I also find it troubling that there is SO MUCH dirt and gunk in the pipes under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. There is also a fair amount of dirt that comes out of the shower heads. Good living - but not true luxury. On another note, I've have had some encounters with VERY rude people in the leasing office. Considering the issues with the intruder a few years back and the thieving concierge person this year, I would suggest a better control over your personnel.

It is a great location with nice amenities and apartment layouts|Recommended: YesI recently moved to the Meridian in early April, and I have been very happy with my decision so far. The people from the leasing office are very helpful and informative. I moved into a refinished apartment and all the appliances and layout are top notch. Parking is relatively easy and the building is well kept even though they are refinishing many apartments. Only complaint I do have is that I wish they installed door stoppers, the door slamming can be somewhat annoying but is usually only on weekends, other than that, thumbs up. I will review my experience in 6 months from now, and hopefully my view is unchanged.
Mediocre apartment and horrible service for the price.|Recommended: NoMy apartment itself is a 4 out of 10. The appliances are dated and the layout is strange. The parking garage has too small of spaces. If you park slightly over the line, your car will be towed and they don t notify you. The staff at the front desk is unprofessional and does not respect the residents. The concierge service at the front desk is inconsistent as many times there is no one present. On Independence Day, they close the club room not allowing residents to view the fireworks. They do not allow any food or beverages on the rooftop as well and enforce this with police. The staff was very rude about this and they treat residents as if they were irresponsible children. The apartment thermostat is tied to the hot water. You cannot have both a warm apartment and hot water. They force you to choose. They are not clear about and upfront about this when leasing you the apartment. Overall, I would not recommend this property to anyone.
