Terrible Building, Rude Managers, Poor Maintenancesubmitted by John B. - |Recommended: NoIs there a way to give a building less than a star I'll try to break down why this building sucks by category 1 Parking The parking garage is poorly designed to fit cars. Decent staff might repaint the spots to increase capacity. 2 Noise - Meridian is essentially a post-grad slum lord, and the tenants party like it. Wouldn't be an issue if the management picked up their trash, food waste, and human poop . 3 Grounds - See above - the foliage is beautiful, albeit not designed well for the Virginia climate requiring excessive water usage. Trashcans are often overflowing. 4 Construction - The building must not be built well. Constant leaks in the hallways from even the slightest storm. 5 Maintenance- untimely in their response and often do a poor job, not fixing the item requested until after over 5 days in some cases and several requests. 6 Staff - rude, never available, and when available, unhelpful. Bad experience with the front desk, leasing office, and property manager
response from property -Hi John, I am sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience while living at our community. We appreciate that you took the time to meet with the property manager to discuss your concerns and know that she will be following up with you today. I want to take a moment to address a few of the concerns listed in this review. Our porter and housekeeping staff walk the community daily, if we missed something, please bring it to our attention so that we may address it in a timely fashion. Maintenance requests are typically addressed within 24-48 hours. On those occasions where it may take longer. our team does its best to communicate the reason for the delay. We always strive to offer the highest level of service, but in this situation, we can see you have been disappointed by our team. Our property manager will be reaching out to you today to circle back on your previous conversation. We hope that you see improvement moving forward. Sincerely, Ashleigh N.
DO NOT MOVE HEREsubmitted by Daniel P. - |Recommended: NoThe charges from the Meridian are ridiculous. They are constantly charging you for every possible thing and I'm still paying and haven't lived there for a month.
response from property -Daniel, We want to apologize for your negative experience. We never want any of our residents to feel like we have charged for things that we shouldn't. If there were damage charges to your apartment after moving out that you have questions about, we'd like to discuss it with you if possible. Would you mind reaching out to our manager at 703-522-8700 when you have a moment? It will give us an opportunity to work on mending this relationship and better insight into your specific situation. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Sincerely, Taryn S.
You get what you pay forsubmitted by I C. - |Recommended: NoThe building is well maintained, and the apartments were recently updated. However, you get what you pay for. The walls are thin, so you hear everything that is going around you. If you live on the plaza level, your apartment is constantly hot, and the AC does nothing to cool it down. The parking is insane, be prepared for tight spots. The residents are fun if you are just out of college...otherwise, they keep you up all night with partying. This building is a bonafide frat house. Residents don't care about the recycling or trash - they just leave it in the trash rooms or in the garage. Pet owners just take their pets to the parking garage instead of outside to relieve themselves. The gym is too small for the amount of residents that they have. You usually end up waiting for a treadmill unless you work out at odd hours. The concierges are rude, and do not help with packages deliveries. The management instead just keeps making rules more and more strict how about hiring more people .
response from property -Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us and allowing us the opportunity to respond. We are very disappointed to hear that you have had such a negative experience while living at our community. Our Property Manager would like an opportunity to speak with you in more detail about your concerns. Please reach out to her directly at 703-522-8700 so that we can work on mending this relationship. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Sincerely, Ashleigh N.

An Excellent Place for Young Workerssubmitted by Pramod J. - |Recommended: YesLiving at Meridian has been excellent. The accommodations are high quality, and I'm treated well by everybody that I've encountered. On top of that, the rent is more affordable than most places in the area.
It's good for a starting point in the DC areasubmitted by Lindsey B. - |Recommended: YesI like it a lot- worst features are the parking and the noise levels from apartment to apartment, but I love my apartment and the building itself.

Upscale, Modern, and Professional Appartment Complexsubmitted by Jordan J. - |Recommended: YesMy time at the meridian has been nothing short of spectacular. Great neighbors, awesome amenities, and a classy feel every time I walk through the lobby.
10 10 Recommend for Young Professionalssubmitted by Katherine F. - |Recommended: Yes1. Post graduation, I was nervous that I would never be able to afford rent in a nice place near my new job in DC. The Meridian has allowed me to pay under 1,000 a month, keep my car, have an onsite gym, onsite pool and perfect location without feeling like I am breaking the bank. And, added plus, the apartment was newly renovated and in beautiful shape upon move in. Looked brand new 2. The service maintenance team has been unbelievably quick to fix any problems I had in my apartment. So far I have placed 3 requests broken garbage disposal, electric problem, heat problem , and they have all been fixed within hours of placing request. 3. The staff is so friendly I have become good friends w the front desk men who always great me with a big hello and smile, are super helpful with my packages, and assist me when I lock myself out oops . 4. The only complaint I would have is that the walls are thin- it is easily to hear your neighbors above, below, etc. - however I never found it to be a big problem. 5. Also, the majority of the population of this building is young professionals in their early-mid twenties, many recent college grads. For me, this was perfect because I am a recent college grad in her first job, so there are a ton of people my age. However, with this comes the behaviors of people that age. It does get slightly noisy on the weekends and there are some small house parties, music playing etc. - just a forewarning to prospective residents I've been here 5 months and have really enjoyed it so far Definitely a great bang for your buck
